Earlier today Dundee FC CEO Scot Gardiner spoke out re Press reports many of you may have read today.
"While rumours have been circulating in the last 24 hours re the position of Dundee FC with regards to the future structure of the SPL and with particular regards to Press reports on the Rangers situation, we would like to re-iterate our support for a fellow member of the SFA.
Sadly at Dundee FC we know only too well how much turmoil and anguish is created by the administration process and the consequences of administration or worse. Innocent people, employees, fans and businesses alike are hurt by the speculation and worry related to such a situation and we wouldn't wish it on any football club.
We are currently 2nd in the First Division with 2 games to go and therefore people are putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with their own conclusion.
That is of no concern of ours, and while we would urge the authorities to heed supporters’ calls for play offs and an expanded top tier, we want to finish in as high a position as we can for our fans sake and for our own professional pride. Having come through the turmoil of administration not that long ago, this will be an achievement in itself."
