BILL COLVIN APPOINTED CHAIRMAN

Following a full board meeting tonight at Dens Park, Dundee FC are pleased to announce that Scottish businessman and chartered accountant Bill Colvin has rejoined the board and has been appointed as Chairman of the club with immediate effect.

Bill said “I am delighted and honoured to be appointed as chairman of this historic football club. I will do all I can to help the Dundee Football Club prosper and flourish off the field and I wish John Brown, our coaching staff and all our players the best of luck in their endeavours this season.”

Steve Martin has also been formally re-appointed to the board of Directors of DFC. Steve expressed his delight at being back at the club where he will inititially play a major part in assisting John with Youth Development.

John Nelms has been named as Director of Football Operations sitting on the board, focusing on the establishment and development of the DFC Youth Academy and he will work very closely with Manager John Brown and club CEO Scot Gardiner on a daily basis.

Speaking after the meeting, John Nelms said “I found tonight’s meeting to be entirely positive and the reinvigorated Board seem to be very dynamic and progressive thinking. I now look forward to working with my fellow Directors alongside John and Scot as we drive the club forward. I think that Colin Reid who has also formally joined the board in the last week will clearly do a great job representing the fans and we are certainly all up for the challenge ahead of us.”
