I read on the Scotsman website today that Kevin Kyle is training with Dunfermline and he said something along the lines of being willing to move there as it is close to his home and he's looking for a club. I'm always realistic about the type of player we can attract, given our budget limitations but if they can afford him then it's possible we could. I would guess they have had, at the very least, preliminary discussions about what recompense he's seeking. He's exactly the type of striker that would easily knock in 15+ goals a season and be extremely effective in the 1st Division. A long shot though.

| I reckon Kevin Kyle is too much of a risk - no doubting he is a quality player but do we really want to risk signing an injury prone striker? I think Barry will look elsewhere. |

Famous last words, I reckon if he ends up in the 1st division next year he will be top scorer even if he misses games from injury. |

| I think Adams from saints would be a great signing if he would come back. Him and O Donnell would be magic. As for a striker I can think of a player to mind but what Barry has to look at is a young boy with loads of pace and an eye for goal. But I have loads of faith in Barry that he knows who he wants and who is not needed for next season. |

| As long as we're not considering Mackie again after Dons punt him , he rejected us once and obviously is not going to have the commitment we need. |

Keigan Parker is a possibility as although he has played for many clubs in England after leaving St Johnstone at the end of the 2003-04 season he will be 30 years old in June 2012. From July 2010 until 1st February 2012 when he signed for Ayr United Keigan Parker played non league football for various clubs. |

| Dont really know Keigan Parker- but the fact that for 2 years he played non league football would suggest that perhaps he was either unfit or not quite good enough? Would he be any different to what we have already? |

| I would imagine that Barry will be looking to bring in experienced players that have been through the promotion battle before and know how to handle the pressure. Now that we know the players released it is obvious that he will be looking to strengthen the defence, central midfield and strike-force. It will very much depend upon who is released from other clubs. Ross County picked up some good quality players that were released by Inverness. Maybe United and St Johnstone will be releasing some players that would be able to a job in the first division? They wouldn't need to move house and their families could stay at the same school if they came to Dens. These things are all very important to married guys. |

| I would not be surprised if St Johnstone have a large clear out of players this summer. Their income from the restaurant side of the business is going to be hit this summer as Perth Crematorium is to shut for a period of four weeks for essential repairs. |

All i ask for is Jamie Adams and Carl Finnigan.
The rest of the signings, i trust Smithys judgement.
However, i am away to through it out there, Graham Alexander. I reckon he'd be a phenomenal player to have on board and could maybe offer him a player/assistant manager job?! He is leaving Preston at the end of the season and states he wants to move into a coaching capacity but i am sure that he'd still be able to hack it in the first division. |

Have watched "Grazza" many times in a PNE shirt; superb organiser, passer and deadball expert. Good at talking kids through a game and retains excellent fitness; would need a coaching job as part of any package! |

| As long as they have good physique, skill, pace and committment I don't mind who Barry signs, and it doesn't have to be "Dundee minded" players or ex Dees. |

Hat trick for young Martin Boyle at Montrose today , 24 for the season. I would certainly prefer to see us taking a chance on ambitious raw talent like this than some seasoned pro looking for one last pay cheque. |

| After today I would have thought number 10 for Livingston Scougall would be a good addition and possibly 7 Barr. |

| Their lad Scougall was impressive thru at Livvy - lots of wee boys though - a Scottish trait it would appear. Good to see Jamie debuting for Dees - I spoke to him briefly at dinner last week and he did look very young but well done son today, stick in and do a lot of listening. |

Totally agree with this. Any young player who plays for a club that is struggling but still scores goals is always worth a chance. I remember Bernie Slaven scoring goals for Albion Rovers in the late eighties when Rovers were rock bottom. Nobody in scotland bothered about him. Middlesbourgh took him for less than £30k and he became a legend down there. |
