At any level of football, this is the only place to sort things out following two defeats on the bounce and nearly 300 minutes without a goal. Clearly the 4-4-1-1 against St.Mirren, followed by an even more conservative 4-5-1 in the derby are not the answer.

Although the midfield has performed well in patches, the full backs have been badly out of position time and time again, when we lose the ball. This is partly due to chasing games and also in trying to cover for centre backs who seem unsure who they should be picking up.

Upfront we have yet to win a ball in the air this season, on going behind, our tactics have been meat and drink for our opponents and would be for Ross County. The Staggies are a very competitive team who press high up, but lack pace at the back.

So what should be looking at in training this week. Firstly, have we any choice but to revert to 4-4-2 (Diamond), with Gallagher, Milne and Stewart knocking on the door for a starting place. Davidson is probably best used in defensive mid and as height at corners. Id like to see Milne and Stewart start up front and Conroy as attack mid. Riley and McClusk if he's fit - running at the Staggies backs.

Grassi and Benedictus at centre back and probably Gallagher replacing Matty.

Its going to be a pyhsical game on Saturday - we need to be up for that but also show the guile needed to score goals. Cant bring myself to drop Rab!

My major worry at the moment is not the lack of goals but our fitness levels. In all three of the games so far we have looked a touch slow. I know it might take some time to get used to the pace of the spl but it is a worry for me. Also particularly against St Mirren, i felt we struggled with the physical side of the game. We were bullied in the middle of the park and by their strikers as well.

3 games, 0 for and 5 against. Not a good start. Definitely back to the drawing board time for Barry.

We need a few more players in but from what we have got just, our strongest team would be...

Douglas, Irvine, Gallacher, McGregor, Lockwood, Riley, Davidson, O'Donnell, McAlister, Boyle and Finnigan.

I really cant get over the fact that Grassi and Benny are playing in place of McGregor and Gallacher, just dont understand it. I also dont see what Barry sees in Grassi? Everytime he touches the ball i have to look away in fear.

I would play 4-4-2 with Savo and Boyle up front. Martin is only 19 but is a proven goal scorer just like Leigh Griffiths. He just needs to settle in and get used to being full-time.

4-1-3-2 Davidson sitting in protecting back 4 (because they definitely need protecting) Savo if fit and Boyle for a bit of pace. Midfield trio of whoever is fit, not suspended and wants to make amends for capitulating and giving up against united. Time for a change of keeper too. I'm assuming we have a credible back up pushing Rab all the way for his place.

Seeing good things about Martin Boyle in the U20's tonight. We definitely need pace up front so i hope he gets a start. I'd rather see him playing with us aiming to win the game from the start rather than being brought on to try and salvage a game. Probably expecting too much from a young lad but he deserves a go, as the other strikers that have had a go have had a slow start.

I would play Jamie Reid against Ross County as he was a revelation against Livingston in the final game of last season scoring the only goal of the game.

I agree with islaydarkblue, Jamie Reid can take the place of Riley when he is injured, watched him
with the under 20's. read the match report, he put in some good balls but it looks like you have to be over 19 years of age to get a regular place with Dundee and take note he is the the guy who scored Dundee's last league goal they have not scored one since. give the lad a chance
