Looks like the new season will start one week later this year with the dates released as follows;
Jul 28th - Ramsdens Cup 1st Rd
Aug 4th - League Cup 1st Rd
Aug 11th - SFL week 1
Aug 14/15th - Ramdens Cup 2nd Rd

The top 2 from the Highland League competed in the cup last season. Buckie Thistle and Deveronvale were the teams who were in it. |

| two non league teams were invited in last year to even up the numbers and avoid two teams getting a bye like we did both years we won it |

Thanks for clearing that up, I hadn't realised this. The wife's uncle is a big Wick Academy supporter so that'll create a bit of banter over the coming weeks. We're ging up to Portlethen to see them this weekend so the windups will be starting from Saturday! |

Why do you think its Wick as last year the top 2 Highland League teams got in which this year would be Forres and Cove? |

| It's by invitation. Not sure of the reason but one of the invitees is Wick Academy. It was in The Scotsman so it must be true! |
