It has just been announced that newco Rangers will be playing their football in SFL Division 3 this season. 29 member clubs voted in favour of them joining the SFL and 25 out of 30 clubs voted against them playing in SFL Division 1 this season. It would be interesting to know who voted in favour of newco Rangers playing in SFL Division 1. Airdrie were abstaining and Dundee were instructed note to vote so that leaves three other clubs who were either going to abstain or vote in favour. Bill Darroch chairman of Stenhousemuir FC had previously stated that he would vote in favour of newco Rangers playing in SFL Division 1 so who are the other 2 clubs. |

I believe Dundee had a vote! EG:- the vote went 25 against 5 for. I believe Dundee are not releasing how they voted 'till the board has been consulted? Dundee allegedly were stunned at the result, don't know if that tells any story though!, time will tell. |

| Just listened to Dean Shiels. Talking about signing for Newco , how proud, how he doesn't see it as a drop in quality etc and how he hopes to take them back to the top. Does he seriously think they would have signed him or they will keep him when they get back to SPL. Hearts legend(?) Iain Black said similar , two players who would never have had a chance with the club except for current situation. |

What else would you expect, though? Now they 'have' that chance they are hardly going to turn and bite the hand that is now feeding them. Yes, they may well find themselves surplus to requirements IF they 'stroll' through the next 3 years, but will their contracts even run that long? Will their careers last that long? When have you ever heard anyone signing for a club and saying anything else other than statements like those above! Even when George Best went to Hibs he wasn't saying what a low point it was in his career! ;' ) And a certain Mssr Cannegia also was hugely enthused about joining some wee backwater team from the cold North East of Scotland! ;') (Amazing though they were!) |

A bit of realism, unlike other signings these have been created because the quality of player the club wants they probably can't afford the wages for, though I'm sure there is plenty salted away and the others won't sign to play at the level the club are plying heir trade at.

But that's exactly the point though isn't it? Either way, no player after just signing for a club, will say anything along the lines of what it seems you want them to say.
Football and Politics... it's all about the spin.

| Any truth to the rumour that Robbie Winters said on joining Peterhead that it was the team he had always dreamed of playing for? |

| What I think is hilarious that any of them think they will still be at The rangers when they get near to a Spl return |

The personnel, league and venues may change but the terror in which the refs hold any team from Ibrox, whatever they call themselves, is unwavering.
Well done Peterheid, though. |

| If The Rangers run "true to form" they will probably try to sign Rory McAllistair of Peterhead. |
