12,877 - a shocker given Edinburgh's population is around 500,000. makes our derby crowd for the friendly and next week look excellent for a city our size -150,000??. Both games live on TV so comparing like with like.

Hearts' end was stowed out (4,000) and the gaps were in the 3 home stands.

The Hibs support (9,000) says a lot about the Hibs fans who stayed away probably in the face of the party that Hearts fans had planned to rub Hibs' noses in the 5-1 cup final result in May.

I was in Edinburgh on Sunday and saw Hearts fans with ballons, party poppers, large foam hands with 5 and 1 fingers and other celebratory stuff.

City rivalry is great when you are top dog!

Hibs have been like that for some years now, no surprise at all at that attendance figure. Same last season when they played Celtic in a Scottish Cup game. Gaps everywhere. There was a time when Easter Road would have been sold out for that game and not so many years back either.

I remember not too long ago John Hughes Hibernian was supposed to split the old form after a very promising last season. It turned into a relegation campaign. Whole of Scotland left disappointed.
That was the time not too long ago when Hibernian would've filled Tynecastle.
