Just looked at some of the photos from that match, Claudio just looks exactly the same as he did 12 years ago! Gonna be one of these lucky lads that doesn't put the weight on by the looks of it. I'm sure he could manage the last 20 minutes of a match in the SPL and I don't think anyone has the squad number 45 yet!

Wembley FC the team Caniggia is now playing for makes interesting reading.
"Wembley FC, a non-league football team that plays eight leagues below the top flight, today announced it has assembled a group of ex-international players including David Seaman, Ray Parlour, Martin Keown, Graeme Le Saux, Claudio Caniggia (Argentina) and Brian McBride (U.S.A.) to help them go as far as they can in next season’s FA Cup."

| Just checked out the Wembly FC website as well as the images on google image. Claudio looks exactly like he did during his time at Dens. The sad thing is i bet he would STILL offer a threat against the likes of Kille, St Mirren, Ross County, ICT etc etc. |

| I seen the highlights on the ESPN website last night, the way he pulled away from the last defender was frightening. He is still rapid and i am sure he would do a job for us in the SPL. |

| exile,he is faster than anything we have up front,a player of his quality could split defences without even thinking about it, and he has looked after himself over the years,he is the kind of player we need if we are to stay in the spl |

Nice to fantasise about the legendary CC back in the famous dark blue but..... 1. Reckon the non league Wembley FC will be paying way above what we could offer and 2. Don't really think he feels much affiliation with the club anyway - just another team who paid him handsomely for a year or so. If he felt anything for the club where was his donation whilst we were in grave danger of going to the wall?
Lets just remember the good times and get back to the real times - Baird/Stewart/Finnegan/Milne/McIntosh......not CC, Cab, Rav etc etc!!! |
