Before we all get too sentimental today, can I just say how proud I am of our C.E.O and my fellow directors, for the strategy decided upon, and held firm on, over the past 6-8 weeks.
Under severe pressure at times from the Press and of course our own Fans, we never deviated from our stance, and remained dignified and respectful.
The rewards are here, we are now officially SPL, and it is just reward for our great, great, support.
If you don't have your season ticket yet, now's the time, as there may be a few full houses next season.

FORZA DUNDEE, Steve Martin

Its time for all of us to get behind the club, the management and players and to stick with them, come what may, this season.

More than a few nervous hours today, flitting between the BBC live feed from Hampden and Sky Sports News. When the news broke at 12.41 on BBC I was both relieved and delighted. First call made to my mate in Australia and then to a few fellow Dees. Now coming down to earth. Congratulations to all concerned. Ray Stern

Great post Steve, hopefully it will be good to be back!

However, there is a bit of work to be done I think for the organisation of the ground to be up to SPL standard.

I was in the Main Stand for Saturdays game and in of spite two turnstiles being free (no queues) for our end of the stand i was told to queue with and stand alongside a number of away supporters at an alternative turnstile.

I was far from happy about this, firstly because I dont really want to stand in a big queue with fans from our biggest rivals and secondly i missed the teams coming out and thirdly the the opening because i couldn't use the two turnstiles which were totally free.
Then to compound matters i had to wait in a queue for half an hour for food in the main stand and then was astounded to see the catering being next to the turnstiles i was told i couldn't use because it wasn't my section!! Whilst i appreciate the club has more important things to worry about just now, i hope the directors take my feedback into account.

Well said, Steve. I was impressed by the consistent approach from Dens throughout, it was very dignified and extremely professional. I also get the feeling Barry is more than astute enough to know what he needs to have a good crack at the SPL, and that the board will back him as much as they can. Add in a victory or two over our neighbours (they badly need brought back down to earth) and we'll do ok.

I think the CEO, BoD and fans of this great club handled this whole sorry charade with a degree of dignity that reflects well on how a NEW Supporter led club can and should behave.
We now entrust them with the task of meeting some of our SPL ambitions without jeopardising the financial stability they (and the fans)have fought hard to achieve.
Congratulations and Very Best Wishes to all at Dens Park for the new and exciting season

Well said Steve, I am sure the dignity the club has shown over the past few weeks has played a big part in today's decision. Well done to everyone at Dens.

The CEO and Board played an absolute blinder in this whole saga, well done to everyone involved. It's about time our club got the rub of the green and collectively we can ensure that this opportunity does not go to waste. I celebrated today with a fish supper at the Anstruther Fish Bar, braw. Life is good!

Stay tuned for some Exiled Dark Blues initiatives to drive home this momentum! I can't speak for anyone else but I sat through the last 10 minutes of the derby on the weekend listening to the gloating Arabs and let me tell you I soaked up every bit of it and can't wait to contribute to turning the tables and ram it right back down their throats!

Agree totally with the posts, another person not to forget was that gentleman, Bryan Jackson who assisted us and the great Dundee fc club, with total clarity
during our struggles , when we all acted with dignity and got on with the job of making sure our club survived and this day begins another memorable chapter,

I have to agree totally with "darkbloo", when he says that grateful thanks should go to Mr Bryan Jackson who was a major factor in our admin struggles.

Without his efficiency, and dedication to a very difficult job, we might not have had a club to celebrate this promotion.

I wonder how much the fans of RFC would have given to have had him dealing for them instead of Duff and Phelps
