In today's Courier Peter Houston manager of Dundee United is urging United supporters to purchase their season tickets as the number sold to date is less than 50% of last year's total. He says that it is hitting the cash flow of the club but he realises that many fans are unhappy about the Rangers situation and are concerned that Rangers will not be punished and get off "scot free". So far this year we have had the "Shareholder Spring" and perhaps we should call this situation the "Fans Summer". This is the only way that fans can ensure that their voice is heard by the remaining 11 SPL chairmen prior to the vote on Wednesday 11th July 2012.
If the fans had already purchased their season tickets in the same numbers as last season then the SPL chairmen would probably vote in favour of the Newco Rangers being re-admitted to the SPL for the start of season (2012-13). The same chairmen would be hoping that their suppoters would have forgotton about everything by June 2013 and purchase their season tickets as normal.
