The Exiled Dark Blues supporter group is up and running, with almost 50 members from 22 countries joining in just over a week, with more signing up every day. A fantastic effort!

We have just launched our first Fundraising Initiative, which is to have exiles from all over the world buy season tickets for disadvantaged/ deserving kids in the Dundee area, at £20 each. The Club will distribute these to underpriveleged children, as well as deserving school kids and junior Sunday League players across the Dundee area.

In just over a day, 70 tickets have been purchased, an amazing effort, with this money going straight into Barry's kitty to improve the squad for our promotion push. Not only that but we're helping young kids feel part of a community and give them a sense of belonging. The next generation of Dees is on its way!

Due to the massive interest in this Initiative, we are keen to have Dundee supporters at home as well as overseas participate. So if you can spare a few quid, please purchase as many kiddies season tickets as you can afford, to help our club and foster the next generation of Dees.

Graeme Brymer from Dundee Mad (the DFC legend who raised £40k with the Fans Flag idea during Administration) has already set up an online payment system for these tickets via Paypal and details can also be found on the messageboard at www.dundee-mad.co.uk. His e-mail address to send payments via Paypal is: gbrymer05@aol.com.

Graeme will collate all purchases and give us a running total and then send the money directly to the club. If you have a Paypal account, all you need to do is:
1. go to www.paypal.com and log in using your e-mail address and Paypal password
2. click on the send money tab and in the "To" field type: gbrymer05@aol.com
3. type in the amount you wish to purchase in GBP - if you want to purchase 5 tickets type 100, then select GBP as the currency
4. click the personal tab then mark it as a gift (this cuts out Paypal's fee), click Continue, then click Send Money
5. then make sure you type in what the payment is for: "EDB's season tickets for kiddies" will do and your name and country, which will allow us to keep track

If you don't have Paypal, just e-mail me at: scott_lockie@hotmail.com and I'll send you details on how you can pay by cheque.

Please also e-mail/ SMS/ Facebook all your friends and contacts about this exciting initiative encouraging them to participate. This initiative is open to all Dees and together let's raise much-needed revenue for the club whilst helping out disadvantaged and deserving kids.

Great idea, would maybe maximise it if we had a landing page or a dedicated website with a counter etc. I'll contribute this week.

Also one thing to know is that we exiles can also take part in the Dee Promotion Lottery which helps to fund the youth team and academy initiatives as well as giving yourself the chance to win up to £25000 and all for £1 a week.

Alison from the office was excellent and very helpful in getting me set up!!

Thanks Steve, for your support of this initiative and of our group. What an amazing response so far guys. Can I just take this opportunity to thank everyone who has purchased a season ticket for a child so far, the response has been overwhelming. Some of you have purchased lots of 5 or more which is simply fantastic.

Almost 100 kiddies season tickets sold in just 2 days, so that's 100 extra Dundee supporters at Dens for next season's games. Just as importantly it's giving these young kids a sense of belonging, as well as building the future of our great club and the next generation of Dees.

Money is flooding in from all over the Globe, so let's really drive this initiative. Who's to say we can't break the 1,000 ticket mark - now that would create a good atmosphere at Dens!

If you haven't done already, please consider buying some kiddies season tickets for underpriveleged children in the Dundee area. At only £20 each they are fantastic value and will make a massive difference in a child's life.

Please also feel free to send this link to all your contacts, whether they be family, friends, work colleagues, indeed anyone who may be interested in brightening up the life of a wee Dundonian: http://www.dundeefc.co.uk/dfcforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=30410

Thanks again to all the Exiled Dark Blues who started and got behind this initiative. Let's make a big difference for the club we all love.

Great idea and keep them coming EDBs and all other fellow Dee!! How do you set up the lottery? I am sure we can get more members paying £1 a week for the lottery too. Lets keep working hard to get this club back to where it belongs!!

Good suggestion about a landing page DeeDee. Unfortunately due to time constraints we didn't have time to get this done, as we were keen to get this kiddies season ticket initiative rolling asap. Definitely something we'll look at for the next initiative.

The list of ever-growing ideas I've been collating from all the EDB's, has the lottery mentioned several times and may well be our next initiative. The CEO and Board will have this final list/report of ideas over the weekend and I'll also circulate it to all EDB members at the same time.

The passionate group of exiles we have assembled have come up with some amazing ideas, so stay tooned!

Very impressive Scott and also everyone who has come on board. So nice to read such positive news and a few new lottery additions within the group I'm sure.

Well done again, excellent work in a short space of time.

Well done to Scott for getting this up and running and also to Shaded for co-ordinating the administration. I'm only too happy to contribute to season tickets for under privileged kids. Who know's it could encourage them to join the Fife Dark Blues Supporters Club as well.

Quick update: when I last heard from Graeme, we were nearing the 150 tickets sold mark, so that's around £3,000 in the coffers. More importantly it means 150 youngsters will get the opportunity to go along to Dens on a Saturday and be part of a community which spreads to all four corners of the globe. The next generation of Dees is alive and well!

Let's keep this initiative going and if you haven't bought a child's season ticket yet, please do, because it is an investment in the future of our Club. In addition, you will also be putting a smile on the face of a wee laddie or lassie in Dundee.

Smashed through the 3,000 quid barrier now and continuing to grow. If you have purchased a kiddies season ticket, thank you. If you haven't yet, please do and let's grow the next generation of Dundee supporters whilst giving a major boost to Barry's playing budget. You don't need to be an exile to participate, we've had plenty of people living in Dundee buy tickets. It's only 20 quid and makes such a massive difference to a young person and gives them something to look forward to on a Saturday. You can pay easily online via Paypal - please send payments to: gbrymer05@aol.com. If you need any more information, please e-mail: scott_lockie@hotmail.com. Onwards and upwards!

Purchased kiddies season ticket when renewing my own and the auld man's season tickets.
Unable to attend until xmas so hope the wee ains make a noise in my absence.
Good to see the news today that season ticket purchases at 4,000 ish excellent response once again from the Dee supporters.
Here's to a succesful start to the season and we are riding high by the time I get to see the action.

Oh well back to watching FC Dallas, not any better than us but the weather is warmer.

Scott keep up the good work on behalf of the Exiled Dark Blues.
