I am sure that every club has a few problems with lack of communication and not being able to answer the phones etc, I know that in my office it is the same- we do our best and try to sort everything out. I am sure the staff at Dens are in the same boat -too much work and too little staff- give them a break and if any unresolved problems try agaun and again until you get the answer you are waiting for.
Hopefully your answers will be addressed when everything is sorted out but in the meantime have a bit of patience and dont get alienated with the club by a few minor problems |

Jim. If you are going to have to fork out another £150 that means that you will be unable to sponsor an academy player as planned. I would have thought that it would have sensible to have a notice in the Dundee Direct shop at the start of business last Monday advising fans that the age for OAP season tickets has been increased from 60 to 65 with immediate effect, except for people aged between 61 and 64 who will continue to qualify for the OAP rate. The old age pension age will rise from 65 to 66 during the period 1st December 2018 until October 2020, increasing to 67 between 2026 and 2028. The state pension age will further increase to 68 between 2044 and 2046. |

Hopefully come Monday morning and people are back in the office then we'll see some movement on some of these questions. For me, knowing the end date of the early bird ST's is the big issue, like a lot on here I'm an out of towner, and I've been working away all this weekend so no chance for me to get tickets. I hope the offer is still on until next weekend at least.

Phone again and again? Somebody is assuming that people have plenty of time on their hands during office hours i.e. time when many people are also working! I'm sure my boss would be ever so understanding that I'm calling Dens Park constantly seeking answers to questions. Although, it's a suggestion that may work if set up in a 'relay' sort of way if you know enough people. Maybe then the club will answer the questions! There are enough people asking them! Also, I note Fraserm has answered one question regarding the OAP season ticket on that thread. Perhaps that's a start, perhaps it's the only thread he had read, in reality however it appears to be more that the answers are selective.
I'm struggling to find any positive feelings on the way the lack of details is being handled and other people looking through their rose tinted spectacles saying that people who want information should stop be so negative are living in a dream world! If you can afford or want to buy a season ticket no questions asked then go ahead, but others can't or won't. The fact it's been dressed up with vague additional 'benefits' is neither here nor there, especially as nobody really knows what they are.
It is time for answers Mr Gardiner, Mr Macdonald....Mr Anyone....
Season tickets have now been on sale for two weeks and it has been two weeks of farce and as the person who began this thread states, shocking PR!

Got to agree Euan, a large 'statement re season tickets' that seems anything but, yet basic and obvious questions have still have not been answered. Also agree on the phoning thing, we have a website why would the club want to use staff resource to field numerous phone calls. This website should be used to update the details to clarify the OAP conditions, the pay at the gate price, when the early bird offer ends, what the full prices will be, confirmation if all U18s in full time education get concession(16-18 year old school kids?), conditions on payment options, conditions on the new benefits. Have these things not yet been decided or is there a reason for not releasing this information?

Douglas, I love this club so I'll probably still sponsor a youth player despite it exceeding my anticipated budget. Just don't like the way Dundee handle things sometimes. |

Jim. I see your photograph is on page 43 of today's Courier. You have not changed a bit in 25 years apart from the colour of your hair. Douglas |

By having various groups affiliated to the club it is possible to liase with them to gauge opinion about issues that may affect them. There is a new Seniors club based at Dens now, so the minimum age for OAP's might have been a topic where they could have had a direct imput, which could have taken the pressure off DFC if they had decided that 65 was indeed a fair limit. However if such a consultation took place there is no guarantee they would have been able to resolve this confusing issue because the Senior club itself has no minimum age and welcomes everyone to their gatherings.

5 x £19 = £95 Maybe they thought you were boycotting 5 home games and realised that the cheque should have been for £95 and they are waiting for the balance to be paid! (o;. Go on, write another one for £15 and keep everyone happy!
You'll maybe find entry at away games are less than the £19 we charge!!

If the Dundee Board of Directors were thinking about raising the age limit for OAP season tickets they should have mentioned it at the Q & A meeting last February. I still cannot believe that there was no notice in the Dundee Direct shop last Monday (14th) advising fans that the age limit for OAP season tickets was increasing from 60 to 65. |

Yes, Douglas, I was well stitched up by Ian Roache there. You may not know this, but I actually dye my hair this colour! Makes me look more like an OAP! |

Jim. You are jumping the gun a bit as you have another five years to go to be an OAP. |

At last. Nearly all the questions have been answered. I have to say that if the story on the website regarding season tickets under the message from Barry Smith had been what was initially presented then I find it very very difficult to believe there would have been topics regarding 'disgraceful season ticket prices' nor this one regarding PR. All that we don't still know as far as I can see is the price after the earlybird. However with the next season in the SPL offer I would imagine many many more people will do all they can to ensure they can somehow manage the earlybird. The whole idea of added extras is a good one, the offers in the main are not unique in terms that some can be obtained elsewhere, but the presentation of the product is the key.
I seriously felt when the season tickets were launched, with the lack of information and ability to compare against walk up prices, that it would not be an option for me to pay for a season ticket this year. Missing games is almost inevitable for me unfortunately. Over so many seasons I have spent god knows how much per game more with a season ticket than I would have paying on the day.
However, we now have more clarity, and an addition in the SPL offer that must surely be the icing on the cake if you liked the other extras.
All I ask is that next year, whatever league we are in that the season ticket launch is like the current announcement (23 May) and not the original launch that divided fans.
Onwards and upwards!

As an existing season ticket holder, still not had a response as to how you actually renew. Is it just by phone to the office rather than an application form as in previous seasons?
Also still not had any further information regarding the 50 Bond

Hi Shug
You can renew your ticket in the ticket office or over the phone. Ticket office number is 01382 889966 and it's option 1. Hope this helps you.
