As discussed on one of the other Forum topics, I am keen to get together a group of Dundee supporters from across the Globe, who can't get to Dens regularly but who would like to do what they can to assist the club we love.
I envisage that this group, although informal in nature, will discuss and generate ideas on how to support the club with things like Fundraising, identifying player talent across the globe and other ways on raising the profile of DFC across the world.
We have fans located all over the world and I feel that if we can tap into these people, their networks, their skills and their resources, then we can do some good for the club.
I am happy to devote my time and energy to driving this group and if you are interested in getting involved, please e-mail me your name and country to: scott_lockie@hotmail.com
Even although we can't get to Dens often, I think a lot of exiled Dees would like to feel that they can get involved in helping our club get back to where we belong and more importantly, staying there.
I will be back in Dundee in July and would be happy to meet up with someone at the Club to see what ways they feel such a group could assist DFC. |

Hello Scott,
Great idea. As I travel the world a lot on business, I see the amount of interest from expats in DFC and it must run into hundreds. If you have a good response, I would be happy to be your official contact in the club to help you in any way we can.
Keep in touch

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far, wanting to get involved in this initiative. We've already got Dundee fans from 4 different continents wanting to get involved so far, which is terrific.
Rather surprisingly, I haven't heard from anybody in North America, Central America, South America or Africa yet. Has the internet yet to reach Montreal, Mexico City, Montevideo and Maputo (my Geography teacher would be proud!)???!
By this weekend, I'd like to get the ball rolling on starting to generate some ideas on how to assist our great club, so if you haven't already emailed me your details, please do so at: scott_lockie@hotmail.com.
Also, if there is anybody you know who lives in a far flung part of the globe (Fife does not count!), who has Dark Blue blood running through their veins and you think would like to get involved, please have them contact me. Onwards and upwards!

| Well done Scott! I believe the results of this venture will be of great value to the Dee. All football clubs need to know their fan base. Without any extra burden on the already hard working staff and volunteers at Dens, this can be yet another example of how brilliant our fan base is. It would be great to get big numbers and solid contact details. Let the Arabs then show us their numbers! Petty yes but its what keeps us going out here in the tropics. The Exiled Dark Blues will surely be a great source of ideas and maybe even resources. Up the Dee wherever you may be! |

Scot - I'm in tae. Great idea!! I'm glad that Dundee fans outside of the UK can do a little something to help the club overall.
I often stand on the touchlines with the dog at a local game of football on a SAT & SUN here in NZ, looking at potential talent with the 'idea' of sending the club a DVD to look at. Before the Australian A-League vulchers get the pickings of the NZ talent. A few English premier league clubs have academy school programs here in NZ during the UK off-season (Everton, Blackburn, Bolton etc..)which are very successful and always read of another 15/16 year of off to try his luck in the English premier league. I don't believe any Scottish clubs come to NZ, but i think they do have academy programs in Australian - Scot is that right? So we might have a jump on this, in this pocket of the footballing globe.
Scotty - I'll email you now man. |

Scott I hope all the Melbourne Dees are getting in touch
As I have mentioned to you before, the Charles Dickens used to be a Derry Down Under during the ESPN Cannegia love in
I hope that Boydie fae Werribee is listening in. No finer sight than a 50 odd year old taunting his arab son after Nemsadzes lob against them across the road
Looking forward in anticipation of our next beer at 161 Sussex St
Cheers |

Im in and an exiled Dee from Texas, so there's your North American content. I was thinking about buying a season ticket, even though I will never use it. Maybe if several of us did that then the tickets could got to less advantaged people or to a different school each week, incubating the next geneartion of Dees?
Anyway Im ope to anything.
