and you are an expert islaydarkblue? the rangers debt to Lloyds was paid off and rangers have no bank debt whatsoever, the facts are that prior to Whyte buying Rangers ,at no time did rangers ever default on ANY payment to ANY creditor , No other club ever complained about Rangers not paying for tickets or for anything at all , rangers at no time did not pay wages to staff unlike some other clubs that went into admin. Whyte has conned quite a lot of people.
the size of the debt that a club owes is not the issue , its the ability to pay that debt that is the issue and as long as a club has an agreement to pay off its debt then there absolutely no problem .Rangers had an agreement with HMRC to pay the small tax bill [ and had an agreement to pay the potential large tax bill that is why the HMRC never issued a winding up order as they did with Falkirk] and were keeping it up, the issue with HMRC is the outstanding potential debt , and there must be an issue with it as according to the administrators today there is no date to finally come to a decsion , which to me says that HMRC have a problem with it , I have stated all along that I feel that Rangers will in fact win their case but people keep adding that debt to the list but until that case is settled that debt does not exist.

Before we chastise other clubs about their accounts we need to look at ourselves first Douglas .

This is going off subject and I apologise for that , Rangers assembly are the main fans body the rangers trust are not well liked within the main body of rangers fans , the vanguard bears and the rangers media as mentioned above are akin to our Dundee mad forum , unofficial The rangers assembly has ex players and has walter smith on board alongside john greig and ally Mcoist.

john b 1987 my mates supporters club in Govan raised in cash , £28,000 within 24 hours of going into administration, its is difficult to gauge how much money that has been raised as there are different factions but there is no doubt that the money that they will raise will far surpass anything that we have raised , but its hardly surprising is it? , there are a lot more of them than us, was it a competition?

Ragers may have no bank debt because who ever they bank with will not let them go overdrwan again. That is obviously why Craig Whyte chose not to pay any PAYE and VAT to HMRC since he took over Rangers in June 2011. He has used HMRC as a "credit card".
The big mistake that Sir David Murray made was not making sure that Craig Whyte had sufficient free funds to clear the £18 Million overdraft with Lloyds Banking Group.

I know many that follow this closely who regard the delay with Rangers and the Big Tax Case is not because it might indicate they can win it but that they have lost. This scheme ran over so many years that the technicalities working out the exact amounts mean that it has required an extended time to come to a value to hit Rangers with.

dundeeman - are you saying Rangers had agreed a payment process with HMRC for the Big Tax Case? Rangers have appealed every bill they have been hit with by HMRC for the big tax case. Thats why they are where they are. Confused by what you wrote or I have missed something.
