Once again our defending has cost us dearly. Couple of defenders required before we even contemplate the league next year. Just not good enough

At the match last night, Dundee's worst performance of the season.
Very few of the players get anything like pass marks. Hamilton pitch in great condition, good wide park, perfect for playing along the surface. However, the team failed to play much of the ball on the deck and continual useless, hopeful punts up the park from Lockwood and McKeown to a non existent front 2 was a complete waste of time.
Bain gets a start - is it only me, I cannot see what Barry sees in Bain. He is slow, regularly out jumped and his touch is poor. IMO, although not alone, he was very poor last night.
Very disappointed in the quality of the play and the effort from the team. They looked and played like a side that believed that the title race was over. Only 2nd place to play for, let's hope last night's performance was only a blip and they will come out with an improved perfomance this weekend

Euan - Not as many as usual. Probably not more than 200 fans braved a dire disply.

Couldn't make the game; was Hamilton's five across the middle a crucial element and did Barry make any changes designed to combat this? And like Old Dee - I just dont see Bayne as any sort of answer.

I wouldn't single out the defence. The whole team played poorly.

Hamilton played four in the middle. Neil was sitting deep with three midfielders in front; Routledge, Mensing & Redmond.

Redmond was the best midfielder on the pitch last night. He's a young lad on loan from Wigan.

I filled in the formation I expected when I saw the teamlines and I forgot to correct it in the rush to get the report on-line before we left the ground. Hamilton have played three at the back and five in midfield against us before this season. They didn't last night and looked better for it. I thought their best two players by far were Stewart and Redmond, both of whom they picked up on loan in January.

Many thanks James - living near Wigan; I#ll keep an eye on Redmond!
