Last season Falkirk TV were live streaming there home games and i'm sure someone asked the question why DFCTV couldn't do this. I can't recall the reason why but seem to remember it was only for last season.
Well it seems that Falkirk are still live streaming games
Sure it's something to do with them only offering the live streaming to overseas supporters. Still something DFC could possibly consider, as I find it hard to believe that Falkirk have that many more fans abroad than we do to make it viable for them but not for us.
Not sure of the current situation as the SFL discussed this a week or so ago - but situation before that was that Falkirk were granted permission granted for one year last season so that the SFL could evaluate the pros and cons of such a service and work with the rights holders IMG to see if this could be rolled out to all.
The discussion at the SFL was to decide whether to either allow ALL SFL Clubs to provide this service for a fee and to distribute such funds raised among all Clubs or a decision taken to prevent any Club, including Falkirk FC, from providing this service.
As I said I don't have an update on what their decision was - perhaps the Falkirk boys have heard more?
