I see Brent has been freed by the Gills; always put in a good shift for us, but could we afford to pay him?

No, no and no. This has been posted before, but when ex-players come back, they have little or no impact again. Would rather that they are remembered for the performances they gave first time around.

Much as I liked Brent he was the proverbial accident waiting to happen. For every great game he has like the John Sutton nutmeg game v Utd at dens and the Sweden game in the world cup he would have 4 or 5 absolute horror shows. He tried hard and not many of the team who went down could say they did that but just gave away far too many silly goals and needless penalties. We should be building a team not only to get up and stay in the SPL not resign players who couldn't hack it at SPL level in the past.

My best mate calls him by the name of 'CLUMSEY', but i'd still have him back if we could afford him.

Brent Sancho was a brilliant player for Dundee at the end of his spell. I used to think he was our weakest link until late in the season when he realized we were in trouble and played his heart. He defiantly has the ability to hold together our back line and could also finish as well ! However I do not think we could raise the funds to sign him.

This is an age when the wrong adjective is often tagged to so-called star players. Brent Sancho was never BRILLIANT (DICTIONARY DESCRIPTION - glittering, sparkling, radiant, shining, illustrious, distinguished, splendid, very clever..). May apply to some Dundee players of the past but Brent Sancho I don't think so.

Are we going to have one of these topics for every ex Dee who becomes available?

Leave these lads in the past, I think it was best summed up by one Derry punter who shouted to Tommy Coyne "Ach TC it's never the same twice son!"

Saw brent at world cup against England and he did well against the likes of rooney, gerrard and Lampard , however i do not think we would not be able to afford his wages!

Why not suggest we re-sign Ando, John Sutton, Garry Brady and any other ex-players? We need to push on. There's no point trying to re-live the past. Why don't we get on with it, back the team and get us back where we belong?

I think that was one of these games where every player UPs their game because they know they are out-classed. You are right, he was okay, but he did have another 7 defenders to help him out.

I'll go with ZICO on this one, we need new faces and a fresh start with signings.

I don't think we should have Brent back, but just want to pause for a moment to remember the overhead kick he pulled off in our own box to prevent what looked like a certain goal away at Aberdeen. Ahh, there we go, thats some good pausing. We got our traditional 1-1 draw.

Or how about his off the line goal clearance that looked certain to go in until he flung himself across the line to clear it away until Liam Fox of Caley Thistle popped it in. Anyway ive not seen him play since the World Cup so I dont know how he has been playing since but i dont think we could afford his wages so the answer is a no from me.

He gives his all. I would take him in a minute. Good enough when we were in the SPL so more than good enough for this division.

Yeah, but we weren't good enough for him when we got relegated. Let's all move on, and see what the new season holds.

No, every player in the world!

No way Sancho would come back, of course, as it's a massive drop down in class and money, but we couldn't have been watching the same team if anyone doesn't think Sancho would improve us!

We ain't signing anyone better. Ain't signing anyone at all at the moment . . . hence all these helpful names being proferred!

Once again a player who is totally outwith our budget so a completely pointless question.
