Well done son! We need quality players to stay in the SPL when we go up!
exile Posted - 04 July 2012 : 13:55:06
Very, very pleased with this.

Welcome back son!

I believe there was a tricky point in the contract negotiations when he asked the club for somewhere to store his POY trophies. The budget doesn't run to a new extension for his house. ;-)

Brilliant news. I wasn't sure Irvine would sign after such a long delay, but with another top performer signed up the new season is looking really bright. Well done to everyone, including Gary.

Terrific news !
Worth the season ticket to see Gary in the team.
Lets hope we and Gary get to play in the SPL this season or if not next season !
Gary - Welcome back.

Dundee should be very pleased with the signing, and once again shows the excellent back room support from our board and the very genuine aspirations we have for this season.

Great news!!! "Happy days are here again". Thank you Gary
craildee Posted - 03 July 2012 : 18:24:11
The good news just keeps rolling in - us in the SPL next?
wirraldee Posted - 03 July 2012 : 17:56:24
Good news and worth waiting for.

All the uncertainty about Scottish football must have been a distraction for him in terms of weighing up his options but at the end of the day pre-season has started, his old contract will have ended and he has mouths to feed like the rest of us.

Delighted that Gary will be with us for the coming season.

Says in the Tele that he has signed today, great news if true.
alanrey25j Posted - 03 July 2012 : 15:50:14
According to tele , Gary has re signed , massive boost whichever division we end up in.
DundeeDerryBoy Posted - 28 June 2012 : 15:01:44
We could be in the SPL and Gary in the SFL.
absentdee Posted - 28 June 2012 : 00:19:22

Whatever is going on I think the fans deserve more information on the Irvine situation than what we have been given. I appreciate that clubs don't like to make announcements until a deal has been done but he is the only player we haven't heard from. It's very disappointing! If he is waiting on word from another club that can give him a better deal then just let us know. We don't need to know which club it is!
alanrey25j Posted - 27 June 2012 : 17:00:24
According to tele looks like a no show when training starts

I am very disappointed by some of the comments on here. Gary Irvine has given DFC outstanding service and that should never be forgotten. There's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't wait and see what offers he gets. I hope he stays but if not I offer him nothing but thanks and best wishes for his future.

I dont think anyone on here or assosiated with the club has said anything negative about the 'outstanding service' that Gary has given the club. I think its fair to say that if he was 100% commited and interested in signing for Dundee then he would have done so by now. I think its a little disrespectful to the club to keep them waiting this long.

I think its a little disrespectful as well, how long should we wait?
