Posted - 11 June 2012 : 17:28:52 The Rangers administrators will probably drag things out so that it is impossible for the fixture lists to changed for next season. |

According to the SFA site, we've got Lancaster on the 7th, Kendal on the 11th, Utd on the 14th and away to Bristol City on the 30th. If it does pan out that way I'll be a bit peeved that we didn't learn about it here first.
So admin, is this fact so we can have time to plan our journeys for the away games. Any more confirmed/unconfirmed friendly game schedules would be appreciated!
The pre season schedule is still not confirmed, as soon as it is we'll have story on front page. I'll ask the question again tomorrow and see if there is anything we can confirm but as of now only Derby and Bristol City games are.
When are we playing Derby? ;-) |

Posted - 10 June 2012 : 09:01:31 I never said our previous administrations should be an issue going forward darkbloo. Indeed, we have taken our punishment (the punitive 25 points deduction), survived and recovered to be 2nd in Div 1. That is remarkable in itself.
Consequently, if Rangers are demoted, if they go into liquidation and a newco is formed, I would fully expect us to be promoted to replace them and not see Dunfermline reprived.
If that did happen then the fixture situation and player requirements for us for next season change massively which wouldn't exactly help us as we have been planning for Div 1.

I agree with exile, our two administrations do us no favours with most of the rest of Scottish football - witness the punitive 25 points deduction last time.
We were just fortunate that there was no SPL sanction first time round.
We have served our punishment though, I can't see how that could be an issue in events going forward. They could hardly promote a team below us in the 1st division above ourselves, even with the make it up as you go along approach. We should be treated the same as everyone else in this scenario and demand to be treated equally. |

We've been in administration twice. Noone else in Scottish football will be interested in your semantics.
And I naively thought the whole of Scottish football looked to the Dundee forum for guidance, silly me. Of course we've been in admin twice, but under league rules it was only an offence the second time. That isn't semantics or an opinion, it is a 100% solid fact.
If you disagree what rule did we break the first time and what punishment was there? |

That was a long time ago. Also, unlike us, they're not serial offenders.
The first time we were in admin it was not an "offence" under the rules, so don't agree we can be labelled as serial offenders.
Semantics. We've been in administration twice so my underlying point stands.
We've only broken administration rules once, so my point stands as well. |

It will be up the members of the SPL to decide who they want to bring into the League. Fingers crossed with our large support, it would be us but lets cross that bridge if it ever comes to that.

As far as most of Scottish football is concerned that would be seen as rewarding a club who've done the same as Rangers
Such as letting Motherwell enter the Champions League?? ;-)

Posted - 07 June 2012 : 11:44:10 Firstly, I can't see any real prospect of no Rangers in the SPL. If, however, they were to go bust I think it's highly improbable that the SPL would invite us to take their place. As far as most of Scottish football is concerned that would be seen as rewarding a club who've done the same as Rangers (yes, I know, I know but I'm talking about how others perceive it) |

Posted - 06 June 2012 : 17:52:14 I do not think the Pars can have a reprieve. Once season was ended and they were down that was it -who knows what next? |
