The Exiled Dark Blues supporter group is up and running, with almost 50 members from 22 countries joining in just over a week, with more signing up every day. A fantastic effort!

We have just launched our first Fundraising Initiative, which is to have exiles from all over the world buy season tickets for disadvantaged/ deserving kids in the Dundee area, at £20 each. The Club will distribute these to underpriveleged children, as well as deserving school kids and junior Sunday League players across the Dundee area.

In just over a day, 70 tickets have been purchased, an amazing effort, with this money going straight into Barry's kitty to improve the squad for our promotion push. Not only that but we're helping young kids feel part of a community and give them a sense of belonging. The next generation of Dees is on its way!

Due to the massive interest in this Initiative, we are keen to have Dundee supporters at home as well as overseas participate. So if you can spare a few quid, please purchase as many kiddies season tickets as you can afford, to help our club and foster the next generation of Dees.

Graeme Brymer from Dundee Mad (the DFC legend who raised £40k with the Fans Flag idea during Administration) has already set up an online payment system for these tickets via Paypal and details can also be found on the messageboard at www.dundee-mad.co.uk. His e-mail address to send payments via Paypal is: gbrymer05@aol.com.

Graeme will collate all purchases and give us a running total and then send the money directly to the club. If you have a Paypal account, all you need to do is:
1. go to www.paypal.com and log in using your e-mail address and Paypal password
2. click on the send money tab and in the "To" field type: gbrymer05@aol.com
3. type in the amount you wish to purchase in GBP - if you want to purchase 5 tickets type 100, then select GBP as the currency
4. click the personal tab then mark it as a gift (this cuts out Paypal's fee), click Continue, then click Send Money
5. then make sure you type in what the payment is for: "EDB's season tickets for kiddies" will do and your name and country, which will allow us to keep track

If you don't have Paypal, just e-mail me at: scott_lockie@hotmail.com and I'll send you details on how you can pay by cheque.

Please also e-mail/ SMS/ Facebook all your friends and contacts about this exciting initiative encouraging them to participate. This initiative is open to all Dees and together let's raise much-needed revenue for the club whilst helping out disadvantaged and deserving kids.

Good to see the Sponsor a goal up to 84 quid per goal so far...

Could be an idea this Saturday for the various supporters groups to take the names of their members wishing to join in and who havent already contacted Scott and then forwarding the pledges as a group donation from each individual Supporters Club.

Would be interesting to see which Supporters Club pledged the most and with a big number travelling through this weekend could generate a few pounds.

Just wanted to give everybody an update on the Kiddies Season Ticket initiative, which we will be wrapping up shortly. So far we have raised in excess of £5,000, which means that over 250 disadvantaged youths in Dundee will get a chance to watch SPL football at Dens this coming season, thanks to the generosity of fellow Dees!

Thanks again to everyone who got involved and if you'd still like to purchase some kiddies tickets at only £20, you still can by e-mailing me at scott_lockie@hotmail.com.

Also, don't forget to get involved in our latest fundraising drive, the Sponsor a Goal initiative. You can get involved in this one also by contacting me on the above e-mail address. Onwards and upwards!

Good to see the news today that season ticket purchases at 4,000 ish excellent response once again from the Dee supporters.
Here's to a succesful start to the season and we are riding high by the time I get to see the action.

Oh well back to watching FC Dallas, not any better than us but the weather is warmer.

FC Dallas another Exile in Texas. At least they dont play in orange like the Houston Dynamo. Too similar to the Arabs, just cant push myself to buy one.

Scott keep up the good work on behalf of the Exiled Dark Blues.

Money sent through Scott - 200 kids is a decent percentage of the average home gate.

Smashed through the 3,000 quid barrier now and continuing to grow. If you have purchased a kiddies season ticket, thank you. If you haven't yet, please do and let's grow the next generation of Dundee supporters whilst giving a major boost to Barry's playing budget. You don't need to be an exile to participate, we've had plenty of people living in Dundee buy tickets. It's only 20 quid and makes such a massive difference to a young person and gives them something to look forward to on a Saturday. You can pay easily online via Paypal - please send payments to: gbrymer05@aol.com. If you need any more information, please e-mail: scott_lockie@hotmail.com. Onwards and upwards!

This is excellent news about the total and the contributions are coming in from Dee's inside Dundee and scotland as well as the exiles!!
Scott Lockie Posted - 08 June 2012 : 11:12:00
Quick update: when I last heard from Graeme, we were nearing the 150 tickets sold mark, so that's around £3,000 in the coffers. More importantly it means 150 youngsters will get the opportunity to go along to Dens on a Saturday and be part of a community which spreads to all four corners of the globe. The next generation of Dees is alive and well!

Let's keep this initiative going and if you haven't bought a child's season ticket yet, please do, because it is an investment in the future of our Club. In addition, you will also be putting a smile on the face of a wee laddie or lassie in Dundee.

Well done to Scott for getting this up and running and also to Shaded for co-ordinating the administration. I'm only too happy to contribute to season tickets for under privileged kids. Who know's it could encourage them to join the Fife Dark Blues Supporters Club as well.
