Are they still on sale, or was it a one off?

Lindleys could only win a pie award in the 'Worst Pie Served Category' But seriously Lindleys couldn't win an award as they dont make pies! As discussed before on this forum and revealed by DFC, the maker of the pies supplied to Linleys is Pars Food Ltd who are the nominated suppliers for Scotland to Lindleys.

Have a look at the Scotch Pie Club Awards (C'mon it makes great reading) and you will see a local Dundee baker Goodfellow & Steven won a Gold award for their Scotch Pie in 2012 and their pie on the high street costs just 95p! and are delicious. How Lindleys can justify the price they are charging for a cheap and nasty pie beggars belief!

I really despair with the people who come here and complain. If you keep buying, they will keep selling.
The obvious answer is ...'don't buy!'
They will withdraw or re-think their prices.
Can't you go a couple of hours without eating?
If not, buy a few greggs sausage rolls and eat them cold/lukewarm later, it won't be much different from what is on sale.

My daughter wants to eat something from the stall at games. We should not be ceasing to purchase

The CLUB should PULL THE FINGER OUT and do SOMETHING about it.

Good post, Lindleys told me they sell plenty, there are queues and there are hardly any complaints! I'm like you, I buy for my daughter but I don't now buy for myself. At Saturdays game I was on my own and being honest could have done with a pie and hot drink but with the rip off prices and poor fayre didn't bother. But you are correct, why should we have to go without?. Could I ask you if you have complained to either DFC or Lindleys?, I have but I don't think many others have bothered. I believe Jim Thomson is your guy at dens and here is the email for Lindleys. enquiries@thelindleygroup.com.
Go for it Dite!

FAO ADMIN (we all know you read and censor these posts) any chance you could make catering complaints a sticky with an email address for replies and maybe these threads will disappear. This way, you will have plenty of time to implement changes for next season? I for one would be very disappointed if Lindleys are allowed carry on in the same vein or even be there at all next season.

At least the seller was honest! I have had the seller apologise when handing me an over cooked pie, explaining apologetically that 'they are all like that' but this is a well trodden path. Dundee FC won't do anything about it, its up to you. DON'T BUY!!!! There were 4 pies and what resembled a cheeseburger lying half eaten under the seats where I sit today - thats a lot of money wasted.

The overall experience Displays, facilities et al at Dens Park is on the slippery slope. Myself and others are increasingly getting fed up. Soon there will be no need to purchase as there wont be there to buy the crap.

Would be really good to know because this goes on every season and every season we are still having to put up with it all???????

no, like any other business in the world they will be looking at sales figures, every second complaint about Lindleys is that they were sold out. So unless every week these are new customers there are clearly enough people coming back week after week for the same product.

I have been in touch with Jim about this before and told him how oddly about the poor and over priced food and still we are here. It's sad to think that the fans are being ripped off and having to put up with it.
What makes it sad is Dundee is known for it's pies and good bakery's and yet we are still getting rubbish from the west coast.

I'm afraid we are stuck with it as the Lindley catering contract lasts until 31st May 2015....... unless?

I, as have better men before me tried to get change, I was even invited onto a telephone conference call with Lindleys, DFC and a member of the Fife Dark Blues. Lindleys said all the right things and even brought in a different pie, but not much changed of improved. I have now given up buying anything from the kiosks.

If anyone would care to complain (not many did before) hence the subject coming up way too often, the email for Lindleys is

enquiries@thelindleygroup.com.

Jim Thomson also takes a serious interest in your complaints, might be an idea to get in touch with him.

DO NOTHING AND EVERYTHING REMAINS THE SAME!! Contracts can be ripped up if the company is not performing well - this one ain't!!

Cheeseburger today was disgusting. Its all that was left.

I took a 15 year old son of a good friend of ours to a day out at Dens as a treat as he had never been to a football match in his life, at half time bought him a cheeseburger, he somewhat embarrassingly tried to hide it under his seat when I wasn't looking, but I re-assured him most people do that. I don't buy the hot fare on offer anymore, hav'nt done so for a long time now and if it wasn't for the fact that I take my daughter to every match wouldn't buy anything from the kiosk at all. £2.90 for a small Ribena and a packet of crisps = rip off

Go to a shop before the game that's what I do. It costs me £15 - £20 in fuel for the roundtrip to a home game so I choose not to purchase food at the game but I do have a bovril as is tradition.

Do we think Dens catering is especially bad? I just ask because, having visited dozens on dozens of football ground all across the UK (and a few in other European countries) the standard of catering, IMO, is usually moderate to poor.
