Posted - 30 June 2012 : 00:41:19 The only thing that surprised me is that Beckham was dropped. BBC Radio 5 practically ran a marketing campaign based on Beckham not only in the squad but the heroic captain too. Full marks to Pearce for picking his own team. I presume the two possible Scots were avoided as too much of a headache with the media and possible reaction in Scottish football circles.
If the recent friendly between the apparent Brazilian and Argentinian Olympic 11 are anything to go by I doubt it will be a home victory.
